The E-insolvency advice service helps people resolve their debt problems by providing free information and advice from over 300 advisers in several locations around the UK

The majority of our advisers are trained volunteers, helping people to resolve nearly 200,000 debt realted problems every year.

E-insolvency has been created by a consortium of leading advice agencies, supported by The UK Insolvency Helpline, so that  those with debt problems should have access to free sources of unbiased advice appropriate to their needs.

The aim of the E-insolvency is to provide one simple point of entry for people who do not know where to go or who might otherwise have paid for the advice, enabling those who are struggling to repay their debts to get the help they need.

All help provided by the E-insolvency is free of charge and the initiative is fully supported by The UK Insolvency Helpline.

How the E-insolvency works

People contacting the E-insolvency via its freephone number - 0800 074 6918 - will be asked a number of simple questions by a specially trained adviser, allowing them to be referred to the most appropriate source of help.

Trust Deeds in Scotland
 
A trust deed or protected trust deed is a legally binding debt repayment agreement for residents in Scotland who have debts above £8000. The trust deed or protected trust deed is only available in Scotland and lasts no longer than 3 years. After this period the remainder of the debt is written off leaving you absolutely debt free.
